Fees & FAQ
What is your fee for individual therapy?
A 50-minute psychotherapy session is $200.
What to expect from the first session?
You will receive an e-mail message with intake forms to complete prior to our first session. Please fill these out as soon as you are able to, so that I can review them prior to our first appointment. In the first session, we will discuss what is bringing you to therapy and what your goals are. We will get to know each other and see if it feels like a good fit.
How does billing work?
Payment is due at time of the session. I accept cash, check or credit card.
Some health insurance carriers allow you to choose an out of network provider (PPO plans). I will be happy to provide you with a statement of services that are provided so that you can seek reimbursement. Be sure to call your health insurance carrier for details on your coverage and reimbursement for psychotherapy.
What is your cancellation policy?
I have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Please cancel when you know you can't make it. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged for the missed appointment.
Do you have a sliding scale?
I have a few dedicated slots for sliding scale.
What is a Good Faith Estimate?
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
